After banning YouTube and other social Web sites on all overseas computers in May, citing bandwidth and security issues, the U.S. military on Tuesday launched TROOP TUBE, an alternative video-sharing Web site for troops, their families, and supporters. Have any of you tried it??? Let us know! We'd love to post your trooptube videos here on TMWC!
In honor of Veteran's Day - we thank the men and women of the Armed Forces for their service and sacrifice. Please watch the Veteran's Day Special from our friends at IN THEIR BOOTS.
I feel so bad for my husband. My two brothers are visting my dad and they just basically ran him down jokingly in the name of fun. Apparently being in the AF makes him less of a man compared to them since they both retired army. Whatever..i remember a many times my brothers leaving on a air force plane, apparently they forgot. Or lost the memo that all branches are just as vital and needed as the other.
To all our Veterans today: Thank you for your service. We do appreciate you. We do remember. We will not take you, or what you have done, for granted. ~A grateful citizen...read

That is shitty of them and would no doubt piss your husband off to know how they felt. I remember once when my husband just became a marine out of boot camp and my brother (a rich engineer) said he wanted to see my husband get bitched at because it'd be funny...I wanted to smack my own brother. I told my husband and even he wanted to beat my brother's ass. Family members don't know how much what they say if offensive.. I told my brother and he realized what he said was incredibly stupid. he likes my brother a lot and he likes hanging out with him. I think all guys say stupid things and we as women have to correct them in those times..lol!
Meh. I don't really think it's that big of a deal. I think guys making fun of eachother's branch is like making fun of eachother's favorite football team or something. My friend married an air force guy and my husband was picking on him when they met, but he didn't mean anything by it really. My cousin is Army and picked on my husband for being Navy when they met. It's just what they do. If your husband gets upset over it he needs to grow a pair.
That's weird. Both of my brothers are Army too (one's out, the other is still in) and they think my husband made a smart choice by going Air Force!
That's as bad as my family giving me hell and not acknowledging the fact that I served, and all because I was enlisted instead of an officer. No, I'm not kidding.
I think your husband needs to grow a thicker skin.
I give my husband a hard time, because he didn't join the "men's department" of the Navy. I have friends in every branch and they all give each other a hard time (all in good fun). It's like an unwritten rule or something.
