It wasn't the strain and stress of having to be a single parent for Sharon, the wife of an army pilot and mother of two that tore her marriage apart -- it was the fact that her husband returned from Iraq a "changed man."
Have you ever thought about joining the military? I can't say that I ever have and here are some of my reasons. Please feel free to comment and add yours!
I miss being active duty so much...so I have decided that when I finish my degree, I am going back as an officer! I can't wait!! I keep daydreaming about running into asshole people I served with and making them salute me lol!!

Sounds like you'll make a great officer... =/
Good reason to want to be an officer.
LOL If I had a dollar for every time I heard that, I'd be rich.
Although, I can't say the thought has never crossed my mind of doing that exact same thing, and then paying a visit to my old 1SG who is pretty much the biggest asshole I've ever met in my life. LOL To see him salute me would be even better than the look on his face when he had to treat me like a decent human being when I got out of the Army and married my husband while he was still in the unit. LOL
Of course, I'd never do it for that reason alone, and I don't actually want to be an officer, so I'd never do it, period. It's fun to laugh about, though!
Yes, because making people salute me is the only reason I want to get commissioned...it was a freaking joke, people! At least one person got it.
You show 'em =) I bet it will feel good.
good for you, i know how you feel and some assholes need to humble themselves and be put in thier place!
Can't say the thought hasn't occurred to me. Would be sweet. Still don't wanna actually do it. (Sorry Hubby) but would be sweet. :)
Ha ha! That is so funny! I giggled so much! LOL! My husband is in and thinks about going officer all the time... maybe when he goes to reup in 5 years again he'll go reserve and do it that way!
