It wasn't the strain and stress of having to be a single parent for Sharon, the wife of an army pilot and mother of two that tore her marriage apart -- it was the fact that her husband returned from Iraq a "changed man."
Have you ever thought about joining the military? I can't say that I ever have and here are some of my reasons. Please feel free to comment and add yours!
Our base housing is by far the worst "house" I have ever lived in, but I am working hard to make it look like our "home".

That's the only thing you can do! We've lived in some dumps too, but it was bearable if we made it homey and used lots of candles! Good luck :)
I know the feeling. I get that they dont put carpet in housing here cause it could flood and its cheaper than buying carpet all the time, but come on, this floor is the worst and we just moved in,dont know what to do. I scrubbed, shampooed, waxed, nothing is coming up. Base housing is crap, hope next duty station is better. :)
12:18, strip the floor. Same thing happened to us (the shiny varnish or whatever this shit is they did just started getting grimey and wouldnt clean crap either). I stripped the floor, mopped it w/bleach and then rewaxed it
move off post
OP here, not feasable at our OCONUS location with my husbands job. Wish we could, we always have before, smarty pants!
