After banning YouTube and other social Web sites on all overseas computers in May, citing bandwidth and security issues, the U.S. military on Tuesday launched TROOP TUBE, an alternative video-sharing Web site for troops, their families, and supporters. Have any of you tried it??? Let us know! We'd love to post your trooptube videos here on TMWC!

I just miss having those conversations in bed with him before we went to sleep. It's the little things you miss the most when their gone:[ Only 5 months left:]

It's one of the things I miss the most too,,I have 3 months left ,I can't wait
That is our favorite time of the day! We both miss it. We still have 13 months. :(
It was our favorite time of day also. When the kids were in bed we were alone talked about what we needed to and since he knew I loved books so much (yeah lol dork much I go thru 3 books a week alone even with kids asleep no wonder insominia lol) he would ask me after we were done talking about everything to start reading to him. He's not the best reader but listener. He would fall asleep as I was reading to him cuddled up in a ball against me smile on face until I seen it and put the book down and would kiss me and said thank you for the wind down. Then we would go to sleep it was the best dork or not it's the best to me. Here's hoping all our men and women come home soon and safe!
Every morning right before he'd head out the door to PT he'd come by my side of the bed and rub his smoothly shaven face on my cheek, give me a kiss, and tell me he loved me. I know it's kind of silly, but I really looked forward to his baby soft face everytime I heard the alarm clock go off...
Hang in there. My husband recently came home from Iraq. He did a 7 month tour. I thought his homecoming would never come, but when it finally did...and he got off that bus and we hugged for the first time...every pain from the past months of being alone instantly disappeared and it was like he never left! =)
that is great advise 12:00pm, my husband left this morning for a 6 month deployment and Im a wreck he is my best friend and my soul mate, everyone tells me Im a strong woman and that I will be ok but every strong person has a weakness and I think Ive found mine, seeing him leave today hurt like crazy and Ijust hope these next months fly by
There is nothing you can do or say to take that pain away. But 12:00 is right, we just got done doing a 15-month deployment, and now that it is over it is hard to imagine how bad it was when he was gone. After they get settled in, and you get back into a routine, it's like they never left. And it makes us appreciate our spouses more than most other couples, hey, you've got to find the silver lining in everything! Keep your heads and hearts up ladies, they'll be home soon!
I miss everything! I mean it feels like he's been gone for a lifetime! But I only have about 4 months left and I cannot wait! The closer we get to his homecoming the days seem to drag on longer. But I know in the end because of this our relationsip has grown stronger and like no other. I love my husband and I know that he will be home soon! I wish your soldiers a safe return home! Keep your head held high. Godspeed
