After banning YouTube and other social Web sites on all overseas computers in May, citing bandwidth and security issues, the U.S. military on Tuesday launched TROOP TUBE, an alternative video-sharing Web site for troops, their families, and supporters. When I was a senior in hs, I took college classes at the same school my husband (then fiance) attended. He'd already been to basic and way back then, when you sent a letter to a soldier in basic, you had to add their ssn as part of the address. So I knew his by heart. One day at the cashier office, I had to give my ssn which I knew but the first couple numbers are similar. So I rattled off a number and the girl looked at the screen, looked at me, and said "Um, this is weird. You're obviously a girl and this came up as ____" (said his first name)
I said "Oh, wait, that was my fiance's number. Here's mine"
I don't think she believed me, but oh well, lol. To this day I have to pause and go through the number in my head to make sure I'm giving the correct one.
I still remember my dad's and my ex-husband's ssn's by heart...and I already memorized my husband's. :)
