After banning YouTube and other social Web sites on all overseas computers in May, citing bandwidth and security issues, the U.S. military on Tuesday launched TROOP TUBE, an alternative video-sharing Web site for troops, their families, and supporters. Casting Call: True Military Wives Makeover
Wanna make your soldier do a double take when he returns from Iraq?
TMWC is partnering with Capessa.com to give a few lucky ladies the chance to give their husbands a welcome back surprise that will be sure to remind him just how great it is to come home. The women we select to participate will be filmed for a series of online videos that will be published in the fall.
Requirements:
- We're looking for women whose husbands are coming home in October.
- We're looking primarily for women in the Los Angeles or San Diego area, although women from all locations are welcome to audition. *If you are applying from outside of SoCal, we would love if a group of 3-4 friends in the same city applied together.
- Please send an email to us explaining:
o Your name
o Age
o Location
o Brief description of your family (# kids, etc.)
o How long your husband has been gone
o Why you want the makeover
- Written submissions are great, but you can also include photos and and/or videos to further enhance your submission.
