Romi and I both knew that emotions would run high after the announcement that truu was shutting down, but I don’t think either one of us were expecting the multitudes of pleas that we just find a way to keep truu alive. Within hours we were buried in inquiries of what it would take to buy the site, and even offers of donations from many of our users.
I am thrilled to report that Romi may have an offer in the works, so truu may be living on under new ownership. I promise to keep you posted as things progress, but *fingers crossed,* we might get to stick around after all.
How does this change things for the meantime? Our update schedule should return to usual, and the rules will also return to there norm. Advice seeking confessions will no longer to put through unless they are being used as the Talk of the day. Response posts, or posts about other users will no longer be allowed through, and posts attacking other users will still be dealt with swiftly.
I for one am thrilled with this turn of events. This has been the most amazing job, and I never want it to end. It's been an honor to be privy to your deepest, most personal confessions. I hope to continue to be a part of this site for many years to come.
