Ask a mod is back! Every Friday I take your questions and answer them in this blog. If you have any questions or comments about truuconfessions.com and want it included in the next Ask a Mod, simply type it in the confession box and include the word MODS somewhere in the confession. If you do not include the “s” I will not be able to find your question (our search feature does partial word search so any words containing mod in it like modify pop up). Some guidelines, if you have a question about a specific confession please include either the confession number or key words from the confession, otherwise I won’t know which confession you’re talking about.
This week we have a special announcement. Truuconfessions IS sticking around. The site is transferring to a new owner, so please be patient with any technical hiccups we may experience this week. If you post any questions, suggestions, or feedback for the new site owner, they will provide the answers in next weeks ask a mod!
On another side note, I only included the last two weeks worth of mod questions that I *didn’t* answer in the confessional. If you had a question that was not included, please resubmit it and I will include it in next weeks ask a mod.
Q: Why is the wife board the only one that gets updated? MODs you also don't follow your own rules.
A: All the channels get updated every update. Wife and Mom just have more confessions per update because they have higher traffic.
Q:MODS - can you please remove 186158 or 7? it posted three times.
A: That’s odd. But all fixed :)

Q: MODS: why didn't my confession get posted, I'm the OP who was asking about how soon to sleep with someone and if it matters.
A: Because I can use the talk of the day posts for advice seeking confessions again, we’re going back to the the way things are supposed to work. Advice seeking confessions are technically against the rules. We allow one per day Monday-Thursday as the talk of the day in each channel.

Q:MODS: confession 122252 should not have been posted as it breaks the rules of this site (saying hateful things about a group of people). I find posts such as these offensive and am tired of seeing them. If they are to be continually posted then confessions such as "I hate childfree people" should be allowed too.
A: You’re absolutely right. I’m sorry I allowed that through.
Q:Mods, I am getting pretty tired of the country bashing on here.
A: I’m not really sure what you mean? Could you submit an example?
Q:Please mods let me have this "reply" comment. You have never seen my 8 year old in a fedora trust me he wears it well and I'll be honest I am not a fedora fan.
A: I can put it here :) but in the confessional it counts as a response.
Q:Mods, you posted someone's address?!? WTF?
A: Yeah, that wasn’t supposed to go through. I very specifically blocked that one, not sure what happened but I do appreciate everyone taking the time to bring it to my attention. That post was flagged and gone within the hour of the update. You guys are great :)

Q:Hey mods, what's with the extreme influx of response posts?
A: Without examples I really can’t even begin to answer that question. Some posts aren’t responses, they’re trends. Some are responses to comments, which I appreciate you guys pointing out. Otherwise I wouldn’t know to take them down. Some response posts just get through. I wish I could be more specific, but I don’t know which posts you’re referring to.
Q:MODS: why can some people comment as "anonymous"?
A: That was the very first user name that got taken, lol. But that IS a persons user name.
Q:MODS: I use internet explorer and sometimes comments don't show up for days after they are posted but on my mobile device they do. I figured you would want to know you are having issues with IE (the newest version anyway).

Q:dear MODS: so my confession about '50 shades' being degrading isn't allowed? Why? There are 4,000 confessions a day about people loving that book, but I am not allowed to state the very obvious (it promotes abuse) because why? You happen to like being smacked if your man doesn't like your clothes? Over it.
A: ugh, no. I tried to search your confessions, but there are like a million 50 shades” confessions on the boards right now, and given the content, degrading doesn’t narrow that word search down. If it didn’t get posted it either didn’t get through, or you said something along the lines of “all the people who read this” or quoted someone’s confession. If it wasn’t a response on your end, just try putting it through again, and I’ll publish it.
Q:MODS: My confession (683283) wasn't published, but neither were 683284-5 (and I didn't write those ones). Was there some kind of mistake? My confession was about a trending topic, but plenty of confessions in the newest update also mentioned that same topic. Was there something wrong with what I said? I thought people might be interested to know about my experience in Europe and my personal feelings about it....... and that IS a valid confession, I think. Isn't it?
A: We just hit the pause button on circumcision posts because the discussion was getting out of hand. Anytime a topic gets to the point where people aren’t confessing anymore, just weighing in with their opinions we move it to the blog. This topic already has a blog. Q:hey MODS-can we please stop with all the confessions about how other children died by some "tragic accident?" (slide, diving, jumping on beds etc) it's really, REALLY getting depressing.
A: That topic ended up dying out on its own.
