Ask a Mod/ Ask Amy
In a very special ask a mod, I requested user suggestions, feedback, and questions directed to the new owners of truu.
I got one. Come on ladies, don’t be shy. If I get enough questions we’ll try this again next week. In the meantime, here is our one ask Amy question.
Q: MODS: can you tell us about the new owner? If it's a person or a company. In the interest of full disclosure, since many people post personal things on here, I think we have to right to know. Thanks!
Amy: Truu was bought by digital wellness, a company that has been working in the parenting space for many years. They don’t currently have any other web properties but when the next is launched you will definitely here about it. This was a “friends and family” buy. One of the members of the new company has been following Truu and known Romi for many years. The intent is to keep the site just as it is for now and to slowly work on features you’ve been asking for in the last year or two (including mobile!).
Mod: Thank you Amy, for answering that question :). I’ve been talking to Amy and different members of her team over the last few weeks, and I’m very excited about all the ideas we’ve been tossing around for the future of this site. I’m definitely staying on, and will continue to do the blog, ask a mod, and the updates. The entire team has been very receptive to feedback, and are interested in understanding how truu works now and how it can be improved in the future without losing what we have.
So users, this is where you can step in? Got great ideas for the site? Share them with us. I’ve already got a list ten pages long of channels and buttons you’ve requested in the past. But if there’s something else that you think would be a great fit for this site, share it in the comments below.
As for the rest of the ask a mod questions... I had the whole thing written, and the blog post somehow ended up getting deleted. The only question that I was able to find was the one I emailed Amy. So working from memory...
Users who posted about the response posts, thank you for the heads up, they have been removed. Confessors who posted about members violating the rules, those members have bee warned. Military wife, thank you for informing me that a post violated.... something very official sounding with letters OPSEC maybe? I removed it. User who wanted to know why your confession was removed, that’s why.
I’m about ninety percent sure that’s all the ask a mod questions we got this week. But if I’ve missed yours, please post it in the comments below, or add it to the confessional, and I promise I’ll answer it.
