Q:Mods, please post this - Your boss probably didn't say "re nig" he/she probably said "renege" which means to deny or renounce.
A: I wanted to post that so bad, but it’s still a response. I can put it here though, and hopefully the confessor who thought her boss was being racist by saying renege will see this.
Q:MODS: truu300901 in the body section, is a right out recommendation to use drugs. Shameful!

Q:MODS: the banner in the middle of the page issue is getting worse. It happens almost every time you go to a section now. Its not a huge deal just annoying, lol.
A: I’ve forwarded your concern to our new owner and our tech guy. Hopefully we can get this banner issue resolved for good.
Q:Mods: what happened to truu CONFESSIONS? You guys have let it become TRUU BEATDOWN
A: Could you provide examples? I can’t respond to a question unless I know what confession the problem is coming from.
Also, be the change you want to see. If you guys want more confessions, less opinions, trends, and questions, post more confessions. This is a user driven site. ALL of our content comes from you. I can filter what you guys post but I can’t make anyone post anymore of one thing or any less of another.
Q:MODS: I feel there are far too many posts related to the Facebook group. I know you can't do anything about this, but maybe you can post this with the next Ask a Mod: Can the people on the Facebook group please keep their drama off Truu? Because it's getting obnoxious.
A: Sure. Could you also provide me with examples of the facebook drama? I keep seeing responses to it in the back end, but I can’t tell what posts are actually instigating the argument.
Q:Mods: I know that posts about truu members aren't really allowed, but i hope this is published. I think it's important to get it out there. There's a certain person here who gets insulted sometimes by a user who makes very snide, indirect, hateful confessions about her. Unless you were a regular, you wouldn't even know the confession was directed at her, so i'm not surprised they get through. It's horrible. She is a really nice person and doesn't deserve the hate. To her, i just want to say, keep your head up! You have nothing to be ashamed of. The anonymous haters do.
A: I can put it here, not int he confessional. If you could send me the confession number of these posts I will make sure whoever is posting these attacks gets banned from the website altogether.
Q:MODS #124047 is a personal attack on a poster's screenname.
A: Thanks for the heads up. I have sent a request to have the user that posted that confession banned.
Q:I confessed id like to see a recipe tab that wasnt posted. Now theres a food "response" post about chicken, tortilla and lettuce. Nice jab mods, real mature!
A: ? I’m sorry, what? Feedback about the website doesn’t get posted in the confessional because it’s not a confession. It’s feedback. If you include the word MODS it will be posted here and forwarded to our owner. I know all the channels are being evaluated right now while they determine which ones stay and which ones become other channels or if any changes happen at all. I don’t think recipes are going to make the cut as a new channel, but I can post a blog for users to exchange recipes. I’ve done so in the past.
As for your suggestion that I took the time to write an anonymous jab at a harmless suggestion? Have you seen the posts that get through? If I was going to write anonymous jabs, there are much more volatile topics out there.

Q:Dear MODS: Please can you delete the user with the anonymous screen name? Said person sockpuppets (posting good and bad conflicting things as the same user) and is just generally unhelpful. Also, I have a huge problem with what you call "trending posts." These posts all came from a starting point, thus making them response posts. This is becoming far more like a judgmental message board than a confessional. How is anyone supposed to feel comfortable with confessing anymore? Even leaving comments closed garners response posts which...no offense, you don't seem to catch. (And I ran out of room)
A: Thanks for your questions. :) Starting from the bottom. I can’t catch every response post. I probably can’t even catch most of them. You guys are reading several updates at a time on one channel. The responses seem a lot more obvious to you because you JUST read the confession that inspired the response minutes ago, instead of three hours ago. I try to err on the side of caution as much as possible, because oftentimes something will seem like a response to me because it resembles a post in another channel. A lot of times when you guys post “obvious responses” the posts happened in the same update, from two different users, with two different IP addresses. So they aren’t actually responses, just a coincidence.
If you notice a response, let me know. I’ll investigate and if the post is genuinely a response post I’ll remove it, and if it’s particularly brutal, I’ll make sure that user never sees this website again.
As far as this board becoming more judgmental. That’s kind of like saying kids are less respectful these days. People have been saying the same thing about children since the dawn of time. Users have been saying the same thing about our site since it opened. I can’t think of a single update I’ve done since I started working here that didn’t comment on how judgey the site is becoming. So my suggestion there is to be the change you want to see. Don’t respond to posts in a snarky way. Don’t make judgmental comments, and confess more actual confessions. If every user takes that approach, the problem is solved.
As for trending posts, there is a difference between a trend and a response. Otherwise every post about being irritated with your husband wouldn’t be allowed through, because someone already posted how irritated they were at their husband the first day this site ever opened. It’s not a response to talk about your first time, or your mom uniform, or any of the other trends we’ve had. What is a response is when you respond to another confession by saying “You’re first time sucked MY first time...” or “I think all these first time confessions are stupid.” So a response includes a specific reference to another confession or group of confessions. Not relaying personal experiences.

Q:Mods confession 123767 is a blatant response to confession number. The poster refers to "ghetto as all get out" in order to insult the confessor of number

Q:MODS I would love it if you could just repost a little reminder to people that drama here will not be tolerated. I hope you removed that flagged "facebook drama" post. It's ridiculous that some grown women act like that. They could so easily ruin a place like Truu.
A: Users of truu, response confessions, and attacks on other users, and intentionally instigating drama is not tolerated here on truu. I will block those posts. If you get a post past me, I will remove you from this website instead. Got it?
Q:I always wonder which way the Mods lean on issues. Are they AP parents? Crunchy moms? Critics of obesity? Lovers of popular novels? So curious.
A: Aw, thanks. I do practice AP with my daughter. I don’t consider myself crunchy. I love popular novels. I have an English degree, and am pursuing my masters, so frankly anything written in the last twenty years is a WONDERFUL vacation. I love reading. My favorite genre is young adult. I’m very against being judgmental to any group of people. I tend to put my opinions into the blogs.
Q:MODS, how come when I use the search feature, not all the confessions with the term I searched come up? For example if I was looking for one of my old confessions, which had the words "wasted" "how much time" and "upsidedown" in it and nothing came up. It was only when I search for "drunk driver" that my confession showed up.
A: That’s a good question. Let me forward that to our tech guy. I’ll put the response in the comments when I get it.
Q:MODS: Are you guys noticing a decrease in traffic to the site? I feel like there aren't as many confessions as there used to be.
A: The middle of the week got kind of slow, but otherwise we’ve been having more traffic than usual. We tend to get less actual confessions when kids are out of school. I think our users are just busy.
Q:I am starting to realize that the mods only post certain confessions. Many of mine haven't been posted and they don't break rules.
A: Could you post details about your confessions so I can explain exactly why they didn’t get through? I post just about everything. A lot of times the problem isn’t on my end, it’s yours. We’ve had users complain nothing they ever post gets through, but there confessions don’t exist in the back end, so it may be a browser problem. Either way, I can’t tell without more information.
Q:MODS you talked about reinstating TruuDads at one time....or said you were thinking about it...and then nothing. Well? Is it coming back or not? And what would your deciions be based on???
A: I’ve never talked about reinstating truu dads. I don’t make those decisions. What I can do is forward your suggestion to our new owner.
Q:MODS: The response posts are out of control on Truu lately! Normally I don't really care and I even find them entertaining sometimes, but recently the sheer volume of them is astonishing. As an experiment, I decided to read through several pages of Truu and jot down the response posts I saw. Here you go: (in the Mom section) 686699 / 686667... 686695 / 686652... 686693 / 686602... and 686668 / 686625. And I wasn't even reading very carefully! I'm sure there's more. What is going on?

Q:MODS: i feel really bad about what happened in the comments on confession # people were so rude and hateful i couldn't believe it. would you mind reading that comment thread and tell us if that kind of thing is appropriate for this site? if i was the op, i would definitely be VERY hurt by what was said and the personal attacks. she probably came here to vent and get support and people are reading weird stuff like smugness and competition where i sure don't see it. if it's not explicitly stated, how can you assume it? and then speak abusively about the op based on an ASSUMPTION!
A: It’s not appropriate at all. I’ve sent warnings to one of the commenters and removed another. You can disagree with another user but insulting them or name calling is not tolerated.
Q:Mods, why didn't my post about "yes, yes i am praying for Obama.." get through? I don't think i said anything to break the rules did I? Thanks.
A: I wasn’t able to find that confession in our back end. Could you please repost it?
