I'm hosting a bridal shower for my BFF - still in the planning phases. Her FMIL keeps suggesting really expensive restaurants and she wants to invite every second and third cousin. I can't afford any of that. I'm will to host it in nice local place with a reasonable guest list. If FMIL wants a fancy affair she can pony up the money for it.
