At what point do you sacrifice what you want for your wedding in order to have the people you love there? I'm 1st generation American and most of my family is very old school. They don't understand the concept of a destination or Vegas wedding, which is exactly what I want to do. They expect a big, extravagant affair with a church and reception, just like everyone else in my family did. I doubt half of them would come if I got married in Vegas, not b/c they'd disapprove but b/c they don't "get" Vegas and wouldn't have a good time. What to do, what to do.
