My husband and I got married 10 yrs. ago in our dining room, in front of 12 of our closest family/friends. Afterwards, we took everyone out to dinner at a nice restaurant. I wish our parents would have at least offered to help with some of the cost. Looking back, I feel sad about it. My mom didn't take part in anything. My sister helped me pick out decorations for the ceremony and a sort-of friend helped me pick out a dress.
