Saw "The Dark Knight Rises" last night. And yes, I'm judging. I'm not a perfect parent AT ALL, but I would NEVER think to take a 4 month old and a 4 year old to this movie, especially at midnight. It's violent. It's loud. It is NOT FOR KIDS. If you can't get a sitter, you don't go. Period. The movie was almost 3 hrs long...those parents truly thought it was acceptable to keep the kids out til almost 3 AM? I saw part of a violent movie when I was 5 at a friend's house, and it scared me. Never forgotten it. I think it's lazy parenting to take kids out to violent movies. No excuses.
