I dont think my Dh fully understood what being a SAHM entails, until I let the house go to shit for one work day. I didnt do dishes, laundry, vacuum, pick up toys, dust, or clean up the bathroom-among other things I do while taking care of our kids. Now he gets it! ..and boy is he pissed to be cleaning it on his own while I sip my wine!
