My 17 year old son just told me he is planning to join the Navy. After being an Army wife for 20 years, I'm not sure I can handle this. I thought the worrying was over.

I want to be more adventurous and take some day trips but DH tends to want to sit on the couch on the weekends, and it's just easier for me to do so as well. I tend to not find the motivation to go out, either.

OP of overwhelmed. Also forgot to mention they keep switching his shifts around and now it's mids. He's so cranky on the mid shift. It sucks and I'm not looking forward to it.

So overwhelmed right now. Husband is on det, we don't get to talk very often and sometimes it feels like he doesn't want to talk and rushes me off the phone because he's tired. Next week is hard for me because of my father's passing, the medication I'm on is making my period last forever (normal until everything balances out). The dog is being stubborn and won't poop, even though I know she has to. Just overwhelmed. So I'm going home, having a good cry, a temper tantrum, throwing everything in the middle of the floor, a hot bath and then cleaning it all up again.

DH and I make good money however, most of our paychecks goes to credit card debt. I want to put as much money as possible on the debt so we can quit paying outrageous interest month after month. DH feels it's perfectly normal to have to pay hundreds of dollars monthly on cc debt. We're living way beyond our means and I'm scared. I can't reel in his spending

Why would I spend so much on my wedding? Yes, it is just one day of my life, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't bother to splurge ONE time in my life and throw a huge party in FI and my honour and make sure all our friends and family have a good time. The reception is the most expensive part, costs can be cut in other areas. It's not like I'm having a $500K wedding, or even a $50K wedding.

Every single day this woman is asking my H or someone else where her H is, multiple times a day. He's in the military, he's working. If he isn't answering calls/texts that means he can't. I can't stand it. In 4 years I only texted my H once while at work and that was to remind him I had an appointment he had to take me to. But this woman, all day long, just wants to know where he is 24/7 and wants him to check in. If it's not an emergency, you don't need to know where your H is, quit bothering people. You're being "that wife" that's always up her H's butt!

It's incredible to me, H, that you can speak more kindly to your friends and even strangers than you do to me.

I also dreamed my BFF and I embezzeled money. So weird!!
