Member Confessions Showing 6 - 10 of 71
Thanks to a co-worker from work I just went out and bought two packs of glitter gel pens from the Dollar Store. I haven't used glitter gel pens since middle school! It made me so happy when she showed me hers at work that I had to buy some. It took me back. Boy do I miss my younger years.
I finally got my Kindle today so I am all ready to begin reading like crazy! I was running out of room in our place to put all my books. :) Any good book suggestions?
Today I called into work because I had been throwing up all day due to my pregnancy. When I told my both that I had been throwing up more than usual all he said was, "Get it fixed."
Um, excuse me?? How can I fix something that happens to a lot of women when pregnant? Of course he never has to deal with being pregnant so he could care less. He's such a jerk.
I got to hear baby's heartbeat today. :) I was so happy. First ultrasound is in 2 weeks! Hopefully the hubby will be back from training to come with me.
With all these padded bras and padded bikini tops out there for little girls, I really hope this baby is a boy. I don't know if I could handle that.
DH didn't get the job because he is too overqualified. He has one paycheck left from the military coming and after that we don't know what we are going to do. He had an interview yesterday but he doesn't think he'll get the job. I am stressed to the max and I've also been looking for jobs with no luck. Please let something come our way!
I was going to give my friend a whole bunch of boy clothes that my cousin gave me but she said her kid doesn't wear hand me downs. She said he only wears brand new designer clothes. Um, ok. Thanks for being rude! I'll give them to someone who really needs them!
I'm back to taking iron medicine because my anemia is back with a vengeance. I first became anemic when I was pregnant last year. It's causing me to not want to do anything but sleep all day. I feel like the worst mother and wife because I'm always too tired to do anything. Well, I'm going to fix this. I'm going to get better!
I'm a cashier at a toy store and a family came up to my register to checkout today. It was a mom, a dad, and a baby who looked to be about 8-9 months old. The baby was squirming in the dad's arms so the dad said, "Maybe I should put you in the car and leave you in the heat so you will calm down," in a joking way. I just stood there with a shocked look on my face. How can anyone joke about that?
A girl I know is due next year for her second and she has always chosen to have a C-section. Seriously? Even her mom thinks it's ridiculous. Her reasoning for it? She doesn't want to go through labor.
Ugh. I had a dream that I found over $200 in my jacket. I was so excited and then I woke up. Dreams can be so cruel!
I think it's really sad that there are people out there who are just voting for the first time and they are way past 18 years old and have been in this country for a long time. Why not use the right that people died to give you? I can understand if you don't want to vote for any of the presidential candidates but what about your city and state elections? It's pathetic.
Many military wives that I know constantly complain about not having enough money to buy what they want. They spend their husband's paycheck and then complain when it's gone. They are able to get jobs but they say that military wives shouldn't need to work. When my husband was in I got a job to buy what I wanted instead of using his money.
Am I jealous of people that can buy whatever they want because they have the money? Heck yes I am! Am I going to be bitter about it and complain all the time? No, because that won't change a thing. All I can do is hope that something good will happen to us financially soon.
When I was younger I needed glasses and got them around 6th grade. Back then glasses weren't cool so I never wore them. My vision is so terrible now and all I can think about is that if I had worn my glasses instead of worrying about what my peers thought, then maybe my vision would be exponentially better.
