We pay our workers a fair wage but what i love to do is hand out surprise bonuses when i see the effort there. $100 here or there, or a surprise paid day off, gift cert to a great restaurant w movie tix, amazon gift cards, sometimes we send their wives a zappos gift card, these are great ways to show appreciation. I learned it from a GREAT boss/business iwner when i was young. And he aas a young boss to begin with!

ITs Military Spouse Appreciation Day.. wonder who thought up that? Sure wasnt my husband command and their lack of caring about the families. So wanted to say that on FB this morning.. But left a positive status about it instead. Dont want anything to effect him and yes, his command is so petty they do call husbands in for their wives saying something like that. IF it wasnt true maybe they wouldnt feel so guilty about wives saying it. end rant.

My husband, who is a civilian, was sent to Chicago for work training for two weeks. He usually takes care of our son. How he can survive six months without me when I'm deployed is beyond me, because I could barely last two measly weeks. You rock, honey! I more appreciation for you than ever before!

Military appreciation day was a couple days ago and everyone was posting navy wife poems on our frg facebook page. Am i the only one that finds those poems dumb? I can't take them seriously.

I have to admit that it pays to have a husband who is an excellent soldier. He never says no to anything that is asked of and is constantly volunteering for stuff. We have found that with all that he does, it often makes it hard for them to tell him no to anything. He wants time off, he gets it. And for Thanksgiving, the FRG got together a food box full of goodies for us. Even though we didn't need it, it was nice to see appreciation for everything my husband does!

I appreciate my husband for serving in the Army and doing a job millions of others would never do and sacrifice he makes with his life, but that is literally all I can appreciate him for. Besides doing his job he has to be the most worthless human ever. I do EVERYTHING except be the primary bread winner. He has no appreciation for anything I do for him and I wish he did...but he wouldn't cause he doesn't notice one damn thing I do for him.
