Confessions for Showing 1461 - 1470 of 1945
When my friends ask me what I want for my birthday, I always request FOOD! I have one that makes a mean Eggplant parmesan, and another who makes the BEST stuffing in the world. The problem is spacing it out so I can enjoy both dishes without stuffing myself and without any of it going to waste.
I love watching my DH play playstation. I really do. I can surf the internet, read, do my nails, etc.And when he just plays for fun we have the best conversations! No surprise his 30th birthday gift will be a playstation 3 move bundle this year;-)
Yesterday while volunteering in my DD5s kindergarten class I overheard this conversation:
little boy:im having my birthday party at chuck E cheese this weekend!
DD: You can't have your party at chuck E cheese! my mom said we couldn't go because it burned down!...opps just got outed by a 5 year old.
It's my birthday today. My husband neglected to get me anything. He's apologized profusely but I still can't let it go.
DD is getting a bike, 2 outfits, and 3 age appropriate books for her birthday. I cannot take another dinky toy, dusty stuffed animal, or exspensive, impractical play thing clogging up her room anymore. She's getting room furniture and decorations for Christmas. Same with my other kids. They will also get stockings. Some say that its really mean of me not to overthetop crazy this year, but those people dont have to clear their shit out bimonthly.
I slept from 11:30pm to 1:30am and have been up since due to stress insomnia...and it's my birthday today and I just feel like crying...
My 8 year old DD was at her 5 year old cousins birthday party when a boy from our group was being picked on by some other kids (not with our party) at the bounce house place.
My DD asked him who had picked on him and I heard her ask another boy around her age if he had punched the toy out of her friend's hand. It was clarified as an accident and the kid was so glad she stuck up for him! I believe she confronted the kids who were actually being bullies too. I'm so proud of her!
MIL keeps buying dirty, beat-up old toys from garage sales & giving them to DD for her birthday, for Christmas, etc. Not to be a bitch, but just once, I'd like to get something that doesn't require extensive repairs in order to make it usable. MIL's latest purchase is a retro solid wood rocking bunny that's warped, falling apart & that has a million splinters coming out of it. She suggested that I should repaint it to make it look like a horse since DD loves horses. Sorry, but Mr. Bunny is going in the trash with most of MIL's other gifts. DH has scolded MIL repeatedly about buying such crap.
Dickhead Hubs birthday this weekend. Went to an all day Hallloween Parade/festival for him today...had a great day, DD enjoyed, had a great family day...Upon thanking him at bedtime, I told him thank you for such a wonderful family day today..His reply? "Man, there were a TON of Hot Chicks there today" Kiss my ass DH, you are an asshole!!!!!
No, my 16 year old stepdaughter is NOT getting any gifts for her birthday or Christmas this year...nor will she be in our Christmas photos, and this is all her doing. Me, her father, and her biomom have very good reasons for doing what we're doing. Don't be so quick to judge what you know nothing about.
